Description
Located 11 miles northwest of Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake is a 328 foot deep fresh water lake in Northeast California. The historic route of the Lincoln Highway, the first automobile road across America, follows the northern shoreline and climbs to Donner Pass.
Both the lake and the pass were named after the ill-fated Donner Party which wintered unintentionally near the lake in 1846. Donner Memorial State Park and Museum is on the east end of the lake and provides campsites with access to several different beaches. There are also various hiking trails in the area in the summer, along with popular snowshoe and cross-country trails in the winter.
The key displays some points of interest such as snowshoe trails, campgrounds, and marinas.
We design and assemble all of our maps in the Reno/Tahoe area, and all laser etching is done by lasers that we design and build in house. These maps are etched into Baltic birch wood and hand framed with a wire wrap along the back, allowing you to hang it as soon as it arrives! We hope you love it!
